Skid Steer Cab Enclosures
Posted on May 20th, 2009 No commentsIn recent years several new features for comfort and usability have been added to skid steer loaders. One such option is a cab enclosure. Previously skid steer loaders were only available with a canopy overhead, or an open configuration with no windows or doors. This exposed the operator to various weather elements, now however, many models are available with heated cabs that are closed and comfortable in cold environments. Skid steer operators can take the cab enclosure on and off at will however, and this is often the case in the summer because dirt and dust can cloud visibility in an enclosed cab.
If you plan on operating your skid steer loader in a cold environment, it will be worth looking into getting a skid steer with an enclosed cab. Because it is harder to think and function in freezing environments, allowing you or your skid steer operator to work in a warmer enclosed cab will increase effciency and prevent possible errors.
